Great vids, lots of help! Can you freeze meat in water to prevent freezer burn too?

Sure can freeze meat in water. Hunters do it all the time with ducks, rabbit, squirrel. They’ll keep a lot longer with no freezer burn…….. Donald

I’ve never heard of this method of freezing vegetables. I’m looking forward to trying it. It make a lot of sense. Thanks for all of the helpful information in your videos.

Yep, this is pretty much what we do. We parboil the veg., cool it down and then put it into plastic bags (no freezer burn so far). We don’t use the water method so maybe we’ll give it a try. The veg we freeze include beans, brocolli, cauliflower, pumpkin, tomatoes (just for sauces/soups).

I LOVE these! I grew up in Iowa in the country, havent lived in the country since I was little & have forgotten how to do all this stuff. Missing fresh eating. Thank u for posting these!
